NETWORKS goes to school 2019 - Leiden edition
On Thursday March 21st a masterclass on networks and their applications will be organized by the NETWORKS programme. The aim of the event is to introduce secondary school students with an interest in mathematics to university level mathematics education and to help them to deepen their mathematical knowledge.
The masterclass focusses on current research on networks within the NETWORKS programme. We invited two researchers of this programme to give a lecture and to do some exercises. In order to understand the mathematics used, the lectures are preceded by two crash courses on networks science.
The masterclass will be in English and is hence suitable for students from international schools as well. All the material will be gathered in a booklet which can be used after completing the masterclass by teachers in the classroom or by students who want to get a glimpse into networks science.
The booklet of the masterclass 2018 can be downloaded here.
